Sandy’s practice emphasizes estate planning and administration, and family organizations. Sandy has extensive experience in business, healthcare, estate planning and administration and real estate.
Professional and Community Affiliations
Sandy has served as past president of the Estate Planning Council of Colorado Springs and on the Board of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. He is also a former Regent of the University of Colorado System where he served for 12 years (Chairman 1982-1983). He has also served as a member of the World Jurist Association, El Pomar center Advisory Board, School District #11 Foundation Advisory Committee, Pikes Peak Community College Foundation Board, White House Conference on Children and Youth and Colorado Springs City Charter Review Commission. He is the author of numerous national publications including 60 Minute Estate Planner (Prentice Hall/Simon & Schuster, 1994, 1999, 2006) and Solar Law: Present and Future With Proposed Forms (Shepard’s McGraw Hill, 1978-2002). He was a member of the United States Secretary of Energy Advisory Board (1989-1992) and serves on the U.S. Bank Community Board (2008-). He is president of Intergeneration Foundation and founder of Intergeneration Day/Week Worldwide. Sandy is a member of the American, Colorado and El Paso County Bar Associations.
